Limiting beliefs are the unconscious opinions we hold within ourselves, which prevent us from manifesting our intentions. They’re often based on experiences instead of facts and are rooted in by our own confirmation bias.
This exercise will help you identify these limiting beliefs and patterns and transform them by working with your mindset.
To start, go through your list of intentions and the goals you have set for each one. Write down any reasons that come to mind as to why you have not achieved them already, or feel you cannot achieve them.
For each of these reasons, highlight those which refer to “facts” about yourself, other people, or the world. For example:
“I can’t…”, “People don’t like…”, “I need to be/have… in order to achieve…”
Next, write down the opposite of the highlighted statements. Imagine the opposite is true and visualize what your life would be like if it were true. Then rewrite the statement for yourself. You can also research these opposing beliefs to try to find evidence that they’re true or possible. Speak to other people, read books or search online.
Any evidence you find should now become a positive affirmation. Add it to your reminders list and set it to repeat daily. Read it aloud every day for at least two weeks. Let me know how this worked for you, and always remember to tweak as you need to make this successful for you.
